Frequently Asked Questions
About the CPS Test
What is a CPS test?+
A CPS (clicks per second) test measures how many times you can click a mouse button or tap a screen in a set amount of time, shown as your CPS. ClickBattle offers timed tests from 1 to 60 seconds.
What's a good CPS score?+
Most people average around 6–7 CPS. Beginners typically score 4–6, casual gamers 7–8, and advanced players using techniques like jitter clicking reach 9–13 CPS. Pros consistently hit 15+. On ClickBattle that maps to ranks from Skilled (6+) up to Legend (15+). Read our jitter click guide to improve.
Is the test accurate?+
Yes. We use the browser's high-precision performance.now() API for sub-millisecond timing accuracy. Our anti-cheat system also detects auto-clickers to keep results meaningful.
What is a click test used for?+
It measures clicking speed for gaming (especially Minecraft PvP), comparing scores with friends, and improving mouse control and reaction speed.
How do I perform a click test?+
Pick a time mode, click Start, then click as fast as you can in the test area until time runs out. Your CPS and total clicks show instantly.
How many clicks in 10 seconds is good?+
Around 60–80 clicks (6–8 CPS) is solid — the Skilled to Expert range on ClickBattle. Competitive players hit 100+ (10+ CPS), reaching Master and above.
What are the click ranks on ClickBattle?+
Your CPS earns a rank: Beginner (0–3), Casual (4+), Skilled (6+), Expert (8+), Master (10+), Pro (12+), Legend (15+).
How can I click faster?+
Try techniques like jitter, butterfly, or drag clicking, use a lightweight mouse, and practice with timed tests. See our blog guides for details.
What are jitter, butterfly, and drag clicking?+
Advanced techniques to boost CPS — jitter uses arm tension, butterfly alternates two fingers, drag clicking drags a finger across the button. Full guides are on our blog.
About Duels
How do 1v1 duels work?+
Click "Duel" in the top menu, choose your duration, and share the link with a friend. Both players ready up, a 3-second countdown starts, and you click in real time — highest CPS wins. A rematch option is included.
Do I need an account to play?+
No. ClickBattle requires zero registration — just pick a nickname and play. Scores save locally in your browser, so there is no login wall between you and a test.
Can I play with friends on different devices?+
Yes. Duels work across any device and any network. Your friend just needs the share link.
Is ClickBattle free to use?+
Yes — completely free, no sign-up needed.
About Sounds & Effects
Why doesn't sound work on my iPhone?+
iOS Safari has strict audio restrictions and uses a hardware silent-mode switch that silences all web audio. Make sure your phone's silent mode (the orange switch on the side) is OFF. Sound usually works on Android Chrome without issues.
Can I turn off sounds?+
Yes. Click the speaker icon in the top-right header and choose "None".
About the Daily Challenge
How does the daily challenge work?+
Every 24 hours (UTC), a new CPS target is generated. You get one attempt per day. Beat the target to maintain your streak.
What happens if I miss a day?+
Your streak resets to zero. Daily challenges are designed to build a clicking habit over time.
Privacy & Technical
What data do you collect?+
No account is required to play. We use privacy-friendly Plausible analytics (no cookies, no personal identifiers) and Sentry for error reports. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you send so we can reply. We also show ads through Google AdSense, and Google and other vendors can set advertising cookies in your browser to do that. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do you prevent cheating with auto-clickers?+
Our server analyzes click timing variance. Patterns too regular to be human (very low coefficient of variation) get flagged as "⚠ unverified" on the leaderboard.
