The daily challenge is one click speed target, the same for every player, that changes once a day. You get a short test — 3, 5, or 10 seconds depending on the day — and a CPS number to beat. Clear it and your streak goes up.
You can retry as often as you like. The page tracks your attempts and your best CPS for the day, and every attempt lands in your normal score history alongside your other tests. The target resets at midnight UTC, so everyone rolls over at the same moment wherever they are.
Today's date does the work. The date is read in UTC as a plain number (YYYYMMDD) and handed to a small deterministic random generator as its seed. Same seed, same sequence, every time. That's why the challenge is identical for everyone — your browser isn't asking a server what today's target is, it's working out the same answer everyone else's browser works out.
Two draws come from that seed. The first picks the length: 3, 5, or 10 seconds. The second sets the target somewhere between 4.0 and 7.0 CPS — Casual to Skilled territory, chosen so a newcomer can actually clear it instead of bouncing off a pro number on day one.
It also means tomorrow's challenge already exists. Nothing gets rolled at midnight; the date changes and the same maths produces the next one.
Your streak counts consecutive days you've passed — not days you've played. A failed attempt never touches it, so there's no cost to trying ten times.
Pass today after passing yesterday and the count goes up by one. Miss a day entirely and your next pass starts you back at one. It only moves once per day, so a second win in the same day never double-counts.
Two honest notes. A run flagged by our anti-cheat doesn't pass, even if the number cleared the target. And your streak lives in your browser rather than on a server — there's no account here, so clearing your site data clears the streak with it.
The target always lands between 4.0 and 7.0 CPS, which spans the Casual and Skilled bands on our rank tiers. If you already click around 7 or better, you'll clear most days without thinking about it. Closer to 5 and some days will be a genuine attempt.
